STEWARDS
Your first and major source of information and assistance is your Steward. He or she is familiar with your specific workplace and contract and can help resolve most problems.
The Chief Steward and Assistant Stewards are union members who coordinate to provide unit stewards with information, tools, resources, and backup necessary to handle grievances and other problems. Your Chief and Assistants along with your Unit Steward will approach you from time to time to participate in union activities.
